Isi Abebe

Founder, CEO

Isi is a business leader with domain knowledge of technology driven full cycle response channel logistics, including- Sales, Media Planning, Creative, Finance, and the monetization of TV content in omnichannel environments.

Isi has been involved in the launch of several TV stations in the UK from concept to delivery, and has a keen understanding of the role of technology in ensuring future-proofing and security-of-investment in television infrastructure.  

His previous roles included Head of Media Planning & Strategy at High Street TV, one of the largest TV Shopping companies in the UK, where he managed over 100 hours of TV infomercials per day across 65 TV channels. He also had oversight of four national teleshopping channels. ​

Over the years he has developed a detailed knowledge of the teleshopping market, broadcast deployment and business development strategies for optimal growth.

Olajumoke Kujero

Country Manager, Nigeria

Jumoke is a specialist in marketing communication management, with 13+ years' experience in the effective management of people, processes, and projects, with a lively career progression to show for it.
Her professional experience spans business development, human resource, operations and marketing management, with experiential knowledge of integrated marketing communication (IMC)
Jumoke’s previous role was Chief Marketing Officer for Jumia before joining the ShopEX team.

Ekene Achikeh

Commercial Director

Ekene has over 10 years’ experience in fulfilment operations and, Business Development in Nigeria’s financial services and logistics industry. He has proven abilities in planning and implementing business operations and process programs.

 

Ekene most recently served as the Head of Operations at Africa Courier Express (ACE). The company works in partnership with retailers to offer affordable and reliable movement of consumer packages across Nigeria. ACE’s technology-enabled logistics solutions, anchored by its customer service team and delivery riders, creates seamless customer experience for both retailers and customers. In his role as Head of Operations, Ekene managed over 100 employees to drive incomes & profits by implementing lean operating processes focused on mitigating operations risk and driving process efficiency. Ekene’s work with ACE resulted in the company’s highest profits with 5 percent m-o-m growth in revenues, negotiated new strategic partnership with UPS which drove down operating cost and improved delivery SLA.

Maureen Wilton

Product Director

Maureen has over 20 years’ experience across a wide range of areas in the DRTV business.
She began her DRTV career began at Best Direct UK in 1999 where she managed the product buying portfolio for two 24-hour Teleshopping channels on the SKY & Virgin platforms. In addition to the UK Maureen was responsible for overseeing all localisation of infomercials, media purchasing, call centre product training & telemarketing scripting/upsell & cross-sell strategies in the Best Direct German, Austrian & Swiss markets.  As the media landscaped changed Maureen was responsible for the development & day to day relationship building with key strategic partners to ensure penetration into the retail sectors.  This included the UK, German speaking territories & Benelux markets.
She then went on to set up DRTV operations in the Scandinavian markets as well as a new Teleshopping business in the UK on behalf of a large US DRTV company in the role of Commercial Director.

Edward Case

CFO

Edward is an ICAEW qualified chartered accountant in the UK, having initially trained with Deloitte in London.  During his time at Deloitte Edward worked with a wide range of clients, including large media groups such as WPP Plc and distribution businesses such as Brake Bros Ltd. Edward subsequently held senior finance positions in business including Perform Group/DAZN and Aser Ventures.

 

Edward specialises in working with high-growth businesses preparing for investment or exit. He has worked on transactions including the acquisition of Leeds United Football Club by Aser Ventures, the acquisition of RunningBall and Opta by Perform Group, the sale of a controlling stake in Eleven Sports to Polsat and the potential IPO of several large UK businesses, as well as numerous smaller investment rounds and refinancing transactions.

Ed Hall

Director

An EMP Partner, Ed has created, managed and sold teleshopping businesses in the UK and around the world.  He created a group of channels in the UK in 2001, including teleshopping channel, TV Warehouse, which was sold in 2005, delivering a 350% return to its investors.  He has served on the board of an LSE-listed TV shopping company with operations across South East Asia.  

He has launched teleshopping channels in the UK, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, and worked on teleshopping business plans in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.   

He advised the Nigerian government on digital switchover and has worked for multi-channel operators in Nigeria and Kenya.  Ed has advised teleshopping companies including QVC, HSN, JML, CJ Home Shopping, the Jewellery Channel, Gems TV, Immediate Media and the Express Group.  He served for five years on the European board of the ERA, the industry body for teleshopping.
